The Best TV to Look Forward To In 2015
2014 has been a great year for television with new dramas, the biggest sporting events and season finales keeping us glued to the television all year.
Next year is billed to be the best in entertainment history, with more people watching HD programming thanks to the new wave of antenna installations, as well as people watching catch-up television online, there has never been a larger audience.
Popular programmes return in 2015
Some of the best series from last year will make a return in 2015, whilst others will not. Modern classics such as the period drama House of Hancock will make its debut as we follow the lives of Gina Rinehart and her family as they deal with everyday business in the olden days.
Gallipoli is one drama that has gotten people interested as the inspiration for the screenplay makes its 100th anniversary.
Reality television is still as popular as ever, with multiple shows and even channels dedicated to reality programming. Whilst the viewing figures for some of the older steadfast shows such as Big Brother have declined dramatically in recent years, there is still room for another series set to be launched later in 2015.
Reality hits hard in the New Year
New reality TV shows are set to launch, such as Married at First Sight, which is exactly what it sounds like, as relative strangers are matched together and married on television.
We may see a slight increase in divorce rates by the end of the year, but just in time to see one of the new entrepreneurial television shows arrive in the form of Shark Tank.
Similar to Dragon’s Den, Shark Tank will pit the public against a team of savvy businessmen with a chance to invest in their entrepreneurial ideas and pitches. We will wait to see if it turns out any better than the sometimes hilarious Dragon’s Den or not.
